About the design
When I saw this call for submissions I knew that my watercolour work that explores movement and emotion would be an incredible fit. This piece in particular is about forward motion while also breaking apart. It pulls the self apart into two pieces that are separate yet connected. An evolution of self while pushing forward, out and beyond, toward something new.
About the artist
I am an abstract colour theory artist, choosing acrylic, watercolour and ceramic as my mediums. I also write poetry and fiction, as a Peer Mental Health Counsellor and am a passionate advocate for mental and emotional wellbeing. A mom and partner, fiercely headstrong ADHDer, empathetic friend and human just trying to leave the world a little better.
