About the design
I have always loved the more neo-tradtional tattoo style. And this was something that leaned heavily into that. Wanting to add a one of my favourite flowers to it to create a unified piece that showcased not only one of my favourite tattoo styles but also something that brings me a great deal of joy.
About the artist
Fiona Smithyes is a mix-media artist from Barrie, On. In the last couple of years focusing on refining her talents and skills. With a passion for sculpting, painting, and photography. Fiona recently graduated from the Visual and Digital Media Arts program and will be attending the Museum and Gallery Studies Program both from Georgian College. She draws a lot of her inspiration from issues going on around her, trauma she has experienced, as well as mental health and addiction. Fiona’s exhibition history includes Hot Off the Press, “this is the place” at the RVH, and 2026 Scholarship Show both at Georgian College. Her inspiration is drawn from movies, impressionism and lived experience.
